The eX-Wife Files

Attention fans of Mulder and Skully! Well, not really. Though please check out The eX-Wife Files, a new title by Mark Forman, The Brooklyn Blues Man and Reigning Shogun of Taiwan:
The eX-Wife Files Mark Forma’s first sci-fi detective short story is in the vein of Philip K. Dick’s BladeRunner(Do Androids Dream of Electronic Sheep), Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe, and Dashiell Hammett’s Sam Spade. Find out what makes Agent Jack Mauldher tick. Is it busting the various Extra-T’s(extra-terrestrials) that appear on his watch? The many women that were or are in his life? His love of talking about himself and his conquests: alien and female? Listen in and you will become totally absorbed in the fascinating web of Mark Forman’s eX-Wife Files.

FYI-for Ex-Wife Files listeners. I don’t mind feedback in the form of suggestions. I’m writing/recording 2 new episodes each week on the average. I plan on getting deep into what makes Agent Mauledher tick. Please stay along for the ride-it should be a fun one. Thanks to all of you who have subscribed so far.

We are now featuring “Mark’s Taiwan Flashbacks”-where I offer short stories about my experieces as an expatriate American living in Taiwan for the past 20 years. We have also added “Mark’s Dinosaur Music Minute”, where I introduce some of my favorite bands of my youth through present. Please stop by http://bbluesman.com for a free look-see and listen!

I’ve read better scrawlings on bathroom walls.

But did your lips move while you were reading them?

I’ve stuck with this for a while, but I’m seriously considering unsubscribing.
The writing has been good at times (some 4 or 5 episodes ago) but lately it’s been repetitive (not counting that for some mysterious reason, episode 13 has been published twice). At other times it’s been puerile, almost like the author enjoying commenting on his sexual exploits while explaining the lead character’s personality. It seems banal for now.
The audio quality is painful at times, and the author’s voice at times seems like he thinks too highly about himself. Besides, episodes are really short (around 6 – 8 minutes out of which easily 2 and a half minutes ar intro/outro.
I’m really trying to enjoy it, but to be honest, if things dont get better in a couple of episodes, I’ll surely unsubscribe.

Hi Luis,
Thank you fo taking the time to listen and share your thoughts/comments. “The audio quality is painful at times, and the author’s voice at times seems like he thinks too highly about himself.” I’ve just installed GarageBand and have been recording with it and Ep 15 isdone with it so hopefully audio quality will increase.
I don’t know what you are referring to with my voice implies I think too highly of myself? I’m trying to channel a character here-whether I succeed in that task or not is very subjective.
In closing I appreciate your feedback and will consider your comments.

I can’t believe people threaten to unsubscribe to a free read. I aprreciate the time and energy you put into this (both the writing of and the recording). Whether I end up liking it or not, its nice to have chance to check it out.

Cindy & Hdaackda,
Alas some reason in he wilderness. I am the same way when I read or listen to free material. Really enjoy it talk it up with my friends and maybe give some attaboys to content producer. We live in a strange world. I guess there are some who’d like me to “give the time” back. Once I figure out how to do that, I won’t be messing with “paltry PodioBooks”. I’ll be having lunch meetings with God… Until, then.
Once again it’s very refreshing to have your rational comments. Every piece of work is always better than some and worse than some. These are very subjective things.
Peace to you all and hopefully I’ll provide some laughs and a little food fo thought.
Thanks for sharing your time and thoughts.

Greetings to the raining Shotgun of Taiwan. This is
a shoutout from your friend Harold in Detroit. I enjoy
your podcast (great name by the way!) and look forward
to each new chapter. Do not be discouraged by the
unenlightened, anyone can easily commit podiocide but
few can actually snatch the pebble from your hand,
Blueshopper. Does one unsubscribe from life when one is
unpleased??? As easily as you have forged a link between
Taiwan and New York, so now do you form bonds between
yourself and all other places in the current known
universe. Keep it up.

Hmm well I’ll give it an OK. The audio quality is a bit lacking and the writing seems a bit rough and unrefined.
