USA Today story ends with podiobook author

In an article titled “Get an earful of offbeat podcasts”, USA Today shines the light on podcasts that don’t necessarily fit the standard “two guys with a microphone” paradigm and instead get down to some serious niches. Of course, I think this is where the true power in podcasting lies. So says the guy who does his fair share of “two guys and a microphone shows”.

The article talks about history casts, dictionary casts and more, finally wrapping up with coverage of Jason Pomerantz’s Shakespear’s Sonnets (they outed you Jason, not me). All and all, a great article. Check it out.

I chose to reveal my secret identity to the world when the reporter contacted me. Who could resist seeing his name in print?

I mentioned Podiobooks a few times when the reporter interviewed me, but I guess since she wasn’t writing about fiction casts it didn’t make it to the final article.

I was suffering from a prolonged case of bronchitis that I just couldn’t shake for most of the winter, which is why I haven’t been producing any new episodes. But I seem to be recovering and hope to start up soon.

It’s great how much attention the medium is getting!

I’ve noticed the next and previous buttons have dissappeared from the blog. I don’t know if I’ve missed any blog entries beacause I can’t navigate back. Ok I know I could subscribe but…

    Thanks for podiobooks.

    Steve,

Plenty of previous blog entries, I’m not a “browser” of blogs but will conceded that others might be. I’ll work on getting them back.
