Theater of the Midnight Sun
Please welcome Michael McGee to the site. He’s releasing a series of short stories he’s converted to the audio drama form. He calls the collection Theater of the Midnight Sun:
Short Story Audiodramas… Mixing humor and drama, “The Theater of the Midnight Sun” offers adventure, mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, and literary fiction for those who enjoy programs like “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” Essentially a podcast stage for new short story play productions, stories appearing on “The Theater of the Midnight Sun” range from 1 to 6 episodes in length, and are a blend of old-time radio theater and traditional solo story reads by authors, enriched by sound effects and superb music from artists of all walks.
The first five episodes of this serialized free audiobook collection are out. If you want to get single episodes delivered to you on your own schedule until the book completes, you’ll want a custom feed. Of if you just can’t wait and want all of these now and every other one as soon as Michael release it, the default feed may be your best bet. Either way… enjoy!

This is a must have for you mp3 player. I just started listening to this, and contrary to the narrator’s disclaimer, this is a very high quality, well produced short story podcast. The voice acting is great. The music is fantastic, and the sound effects are great. I highly recommend this

Very well done. Good sound effects. And the story forced more than a few chuckles out of me. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and recommend it highly.

Thanks Michael for taking the time to do that interview with http://www.podioracket.com for Episode 3. We loved hearing about Theater of the Midnight Sun and the life experiences that led to the stories.
Rhonda has already listened to a bunch of episodes and commented, I see.
Good stuff!

I really enjoyed this series. I am amazed at the production quality and the characters, voices and sound effects. The other podcasters certainly have something to aspire to. Well done and I hope to hear more of it. Robin.

I found this series to be very entertaining, with maybe the exception of “Goodbye Cruel World”. Great voice acting, engaging characters, good choice of incidental music, and terrific “spy/surf” theme music.

I too really enjoyed this series but found I didnt enjoy “Goodbye Cruel World” as much as the others. Will there be more?

I just downloaded this on my phone to test its ability to download large files, but it was so good I kept listening! Excellent work! I am wondering what the piece of music is at the beginning (1:21) of episode 3 of Uniform?

Sorry for anyone subscribed to this show recently. The author decided to pull the files without any notice. I’ve pulled the listing from the site, but for the unfortunate who were only partly through the book, please accept my apologies.
