Author Boot Camp wrapup

Last week, authors Seth Harwood and Scott Sigler showed just how helpful they can be. Both are successful podcast novelists, with both having landed publishing deals after making serialized free audioboook versions of their work available to the masses. And in Scott’s case, harnessing the power of new media and social media helped him get on the New York Times Best Seller’s list.

They collaborated on the first Author Book Camp, held in San Francisco. From what I gather from this video, the participants walked away with some valuable knowledge.

I’m hoping Seth and Scott decide to do this again. Anytime you can learn from those who have come before — especially when they were successful — it’s great situation. Thanks to both of those guys for helping to show authors exactly what it means to be an author in 2009 — and beyond.

Are any students blogging about the experience? It had to be a blast.
