This is the worst quasi religious, conservative, stupid, Amish promoting garbage I ever read….there is SO! much bullshit about too young to copulate, better to wait crap and so on. Making it sound as two wife is ok but not two husbands!!!???? IDIOT….lesbian ok but not homosexuality…!!!??? I mean what the fu…and the stupid plot…. man oh man! they hang people for small petty crimes, but when they find a traitor, a smooth talker, a deceiver and spy among them, they all just finds it such a jolly fine thing that they really hug him to their bosom and the two hottest chicks avilable, sign up to be his personal whores… naively speculative and incredibly stupid/conservative/quasi christian crap!….really boring, and no literary or entertainment value what so ever….STAY AWAY! and spend your time on something good…the standard here on Podiobooks is very low and getting lower by the day…boring third rate fantasy crap….there are other things to write about than stupid worlds with all kind of impossible bullshit in it…..or is this just for children….could have done with some better and more critical editors…too many nut cases (like this one) get to grind their axe.
I used to work for a Norwegian publisher in my youth so I know there is better stuff out there. And don’t forget the world is bigger and more interesting then USA give you the impression of. So why not some more literature from other than American hacks…?get more other hacks….

But still thanks for sharing….the garbage…

I have made a serious mistake and I do not want that to be said about me….I criticized podiobooks (from now on PB) for lousy editorship, and that turned out to be a rather embarrassing mistake on my side ….so I have now realized that PB do not AT ALL make editorial choices and decisions (figures…:-), thus my critic of their job as such are utterly groundless and you might even say downright mean….so I will take back anything I said in that respect and sincerely apology to the tireless slaves at PB that mostly spend their days baking free podiobooks for me to enjoy so I can sit still as I do my job (draw comics)….that’s in turn very important to world peace and stuff like that…

    So sorry and thank you

First of all, this is a great podcast, well produced with engaging characters and plot line. The writer of the previous comments is obviously an idiot. Apparently, per ove sleen objects to the fact that the main character Aaron Turner (a 25 year old man) decides not to sleep with his 16 year old employee because he thinks she is too young for him. Turner also has problems with the idea that on this frontier Wild west style world he finds himself on, girls get married as young as 13 and 14. Per Ove Sleen apparently hates this fact, and would much prefer it if the main character were more like Mohammed with a harem of 12 year old virgins. Second, never in this podcast does it say lesbians ok but not homosexuality. In fact, the only time male homosexuality is mentioned, it is in an offhand comment. Turner mentions to his fiancee that in his world (a world socially and technologically similar to our own) sometimes men have relationships with men. His fiancee, as a women police officer from a frontier area in world with 18th century society and pre firearms technology, as well as 1 to 8 male to female population ratio, finds the idea of two men weird and inconceivable. She is comfortable with the idea of two women because she is from a world where there are 8 times as many women as men. If she did not find the idea of two men strange it would ruin the consistency of the story. The bit of the podcast I describe is the only time male homosexuality is even mentioned in the story. Obviously, the only person with a political ax to grind is Mr. Sleen, and he feels that a review of a science fiction podcast is the best place to do it.

By the way, if it wasn’t apparent in my previous post, I loved the podcast and cannot wait for book 2.
