New and complete audiobook: Heart Of Diamonds by Dave Donelson
Please welcome Dave Donelson back to the site. Today he’s making all of the episodes of his serialized audiobook thriller available. Here’s what Heart Of Diamonds is all about:
Corruption at the highest levels of government, greed in the church, and brutality among warring factions make the Congo a very dangerous place for television journalist Valerie Grey. Amid the bloody violence of that country’s endless civil war, Grey uncovers a deadly diamond-smuggling scheme that reaches from the heart of the Congo to the White House by way of a famous American televangelist. Aided by an altruistic doctor, Grey is pursued by the soldiers of the country’s dictator, the mercenaries of the mine’s owner, and the rebels seeking control of the country. HEART OF DIAMONDS is a fast-paced tale of ambition, avarice, betrayal, and love.
All 23 episodes are available. A custom feed will send you down new episodes one at a time on your schedule. Or if you’d rather have all of them in a feed right now to manage on your own, that’s why we make the default feed. Either way, enjoy this free audiobook!

So far, on Ep 5, I’m finding this to be a compelling story.
….Something a little different from the author of the humorous “Hunting Elf”.
I think this would make an outstanding audio drama.

Just finished this up and really enjoyed it. Just over half way into the book I slowed down a little bit and struggled to get through a couple of episodes, but then the pace moves along quickly and the action at the end is great.
The author really seems to know the Congo and I’m glad he brought something a little out of the norm to Podiobooks.

The author’s passion and knowledge of the Congo is well balanced with a solid, fast paced story. The realism is jarring and sticks with you, along with the well formed characters. Well done! Thank you for presenting your work in this format.

Nice to hear about a locale in a story that is a reality to me. I am a resident of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. What is described in the story of the town of Cape Charles is true. It added more enjoyment to the story for me.
