Now releasing Prophecy Blossoms by Brenda Wamsley
Prophecy Blossoms is Brenda Wamsley’s second title on our site:
Surviving her first year as a vampire, Jane prepares for what should be the happiest day of her life. But doubt and secret’s trouble her. In an effort to protect Jane, David keeps her confined to Catharine’s Palace and leaves her in the dark on his covert meetings. Feeling trapped and fearful of her new family’s future, Jane ventures out on a quest to protect them and end the Prophecy once and for all. She finds that the world she knows is on the brink of war and that she may be the only one that can stop it. Along the way, she finds strength and resolve that she didn’t think she was capable of and that there is more to the Prophecy than just the destruction of one man. The sequel to Prophecy Awakens.

I am glad i stumbled upon these books. This one as well as Prophecy Awakens were great listening! It is a shame that the same books get advertised in the lists and ones like these are hidden away. Splendidly written story and great narration. You do your books proud. Looking forward to the next one!

The books were ok. I debated with myself over whether or not to mention anything but I’m halfway through the second book and I can’t take it anymore. I don’t understand why the narrator- being the author-keeps changing the name of the French coven. Is it Ren-vant, or Rev-nant? Also, there is no T in across. It’s acrossssss not acrosst or acrossed. The accents were a nice try but I keep finding myself distracted by them rather than them adding to the story. The story itself is ok, but I’m looking for stronger character definitions, and some of the plot lines are a little cliche and predictable. That being said, what do I know I’ve never written a book. Kudos to you for that.

I enjoyed the book. It was a fast listen that kept me generally entertained.
I will agree with @beanmom33 that the narration was a little distracting at times especially when French was introduced. It was pretty clear that the narrator had limited French abilities and in that case she should have just stuck with English. I think that is something that a listener is completely willing to accept.
I’d also really like the ending of the episodes to be much shorter. They story seemed to end yet the episode would continue for another 1:30 or so. This was annoying since the episodes were so short I kept having to skip the endings and couldn’t just continuously listen. 10-15 seconds even as much as 30 seconds can be acceptable, but 1:30 seems excessive.

I completely adored these stories. I’ve listened to many multi voice audio dramas as well as author narrated podiobooks. and BOY are there some stinkers out there… where i had to nicely say “great book, you may want to consider having someone else reading it tho…” this is not one of them. i expect a narrator to have personality, not be a multi-lingual professional public speaker. I think the author did a great job and made it enjoyable to listen to. I also disagree with the ending complaint. i think the audio/music production made this book even more enjoyable to listen to. i wish there were more. great job.

I enjoyed listening to the stories. I do have to say that the use of “acrosst” with a “t” sound at the end every time got on my nerves terribly (it should be “acoss” no “T” sound!), but other than that I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I loved these books! I find myself wanting more. Will there be a war? What about the wedding? I want another book!
