Linda Velwest is the narrator for Julia Lestargette Glover’s tale from the 1930s, Briarwood Girls. It’s complete at six episodes!
The ‘Kindred Spirit’ are a group of seven friends who met in their freshman year at Briarwood College. The girls have all sorts of difficulties during their sophomore year. Allison won’t be able to come back to school because she has no money. A new girl comes to college and doesn’t fit in. The girls have other troubles and triumphs. This is a charming young adult story written in the 1930s about college women of the day.

so far i am enjoying this story a great deal. just wanted to let you know though, that episode 05 is not working. it starts the intro then the sound cuts off right after she says ‘chapter 9′ in the intro. the time keeps ticking, but no sound. i tried on my phone and computer and redownloaded. same thing. please reload it so i can listen to the conclusion

I really enjoyed this book. It’s perfect Young Adualt reading, but even as an adult I fell in love with the characters and Briarwood College. I really liked your different voices for the girls.
Thank you for fixing the problems with the audio, so that people could listen to them.

The problems with episode 5 and 6 seem to have been fixed. So sorry to anyone who has been waiting. Please let me know if there are any more problems, but I’m pretty sure that nothing else can go wrong!!
