Now releasing Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I by Tracy Falbe
Chris Snelgrove of DarkFire narrates Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I by Tracy Falbe. Please enjoy:
Dreibrand Veta has killed for his country. At the frontlines of imperial expansion, he seeks to rebuild the fortune of his noble family. In his daring travels he encounters the rys, a race far more powerful than the human empire that bred him. Dreibrand cannot defy the rys Queen Onja nor defend his companion, Miranda, and her children from the wicked tyrant Queen.
Desperate for help, Dreibrand and Miranda join Shan, a rys with emerging powers who plans to challenge Onja. In Shan’s pursuit of the rys throne, he exerts his magical powers, gathers his allies, and incites rebellion among Onja’s human subjects.
Great wealth and power will reward the kings, warriors, and spies that align themselves with the rys pretender, but defeat could mean worse than death. Onja can imprison souls and her genocidal rage is legendary. Everything is at risk for Shan’s union of renegades.

Download this one!!! This book is definitely a winner. Tracy, can you put the chapters out faster??? please? I know it is a lot of work, and I’m half kidding, but this book has so much suspense. Great job on the settings, I can picture the imagery clearly, it is captivating. I am rooting for the characters to come through their ordeal. Though it is early in the book I foresee much drama, action and danger ahead.

Mark, so glad you are enjoying the podcast. Chapters will be added weekly. Hopefully a complete audiobook of everything will be available in the near future for those who are anxious to keep listening. I’m working on it. It’s nice to hear that the imagery is coming through for you. Also you are quite correct that much more drama, action, and danger are ahead.

It is an epic story and epic can be unwieldy but I really like the characters, and the narrator is great.

Thanks for listening, Barry. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the characters. There are more on the way in the story. And yes, the narrator really worked hard and I imagine he appreciates your comment.

It seemed like I had run out of cool fantasy podcasts to listen to and then I discovered Union of Renegades. The story is awesome and its gone in directions I just couldn’t predict. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for listening, Cynthia, and I’m glad you’re enjoying Union of Renegades. It’s good to hear you’re finding it unpredictably engaging. Although I like to write within the familiar medieval fantasy framework, I enjoy being a bit unconventional with the characters and some of the storylines.

This is amazing.
Mostly books on here are from authors and/or books I have never seen before. I am glad I saw this one though because I read the book a few years ago now and was nothing but impressed by it.
Glad its on Podiobooks now … I can download and enjoy it all over again.

I love listening to a great and unpredictable story!!! I can usually listen to a chapter of a podiobook then wait until the next installment, but not with this one, I stopped listening at episode 34 and waited until the last to download all of them because I was having withdrawls from the periods in between episodes!!! HEHE!!! I really do care about what happens to Shan, Dreibrand, Miranda, and the children….hell I feel invested in all of them. I can’t wait to see whats next. Thank you for such a wonderful fantasy journey!!!

Hi Elliot, So glad that you’re loving the podcast. Thanks for listening. You’ll be glad to know that I’m planning how to pay for production of the next novel The Goddess Queen right now, so I’m really hoping to make that happen.
